Dev Notes, Documentation, and Thoughts
Version 1.0.0
* Launched site. Yay!
* Added first six pages
* Was going to implement some form of function to highlight the icon captions and
lower the icon opacity, but couldn't figure out how. Maybe in the next update I'll
figure that out, but a "click off" function doesn't seem to exist
* Plans for next update: implement functionality to the Blog page, add more artwork
and animations for portfolio, potentially add more pages, add little blurbs about
each animation and art piece on those pages w/ Notepad textboxes, add finished
concept art from Narrative Design final once that's done
* A music player would be cool so I can show what I've been listening to but let me
lock in on these pages for now because it's 2:30 AM and the final is due at 11 AM
* The functionality for the blog page would prob be identical to this but users can
select a post date (or just scroll tbh because I don't have the energy to code that)
* Are you actually reading this? Wow, cool
* I wonder if Aaron is reading this. Hi Aaron. I love you.
* It would be funny if someone named Aaron who isn't my boyfriend was reading this.
That would be kinda creepy. Hello to all the Aarons of the world.
* OK sleep time
Project Reflection (For AET 357)
Working on this site definitely taught me a lot more about web design and coding
with HTML, CSS, and JS (although the actual JS here is minimal since I'm still not
quite familiar with it yet). W3Schools, Stack Overflow, and Reddit were lifesavers
for me throughout this process, and I'm so proud of how this site turned out! However,
it's important to note that this is only version 1.0.0 - I will continue to add things to
this site and update it with new projects, more artwork, and new pages. Above all else,
I surprisingly had a lot of fun making this site! While getting some things to go in certain
places and getting the code to behave the right way could get stressful at times, I found this
project to be incredibly valuable and fun. I can't wait to keep updating my site!
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the website IS the iteration of a previous project. I
made a very small application in HTML, CSS, and JS at the beginning of the semester, so I
wanted to dive deeper into coding by creating a website!
